Conan: The God in the Bowl and Other Stories, by Kurt Busiek, Cary Nord, Thomas Yeates, Tom Mandrake Dave Stewart is a fabulous graphic novel. Amazing visuals and an interesting story. Janissa is intense.#
Age of Bronze Volume 1: A Thousand Ships, by Eric Shanower, is an incredibly interesting and well-written comic book and a great adaptation of part of the story of Trojan War. Recommended.#
V for Vendetta, by Alan Moore and David Lloyd.#
My first experience with this book was as the name of a Providence math-rock band. (Their best songs are: Math Rock is not a four-letter word; It's two four letter words and Providence is a small town (and word gets around).)#
I had then heard about the comic while the movie was in production and in my various anarchist readings. When the movie came out, I loved it.#
After reading the book, I love it too. It's amazing comic book, story, and very inspiring. The only real problem is that the final part needlessly has a few scenes in the nightclub.#
Y: The Last Man Vol. 1: Unmanned, by Brian K. Vaughan, Pia Guerra, and Jr. Jose Marzan, is an amazing comic about the last man on Earth. The opening chapter is great.#
